Alternatives To Sleeping Pills From WebMD
As you are likely aware, sleeping pills (both prescription sleep aids and over-the-counter drugs) pose many risks, including the threat of long term dependency and other health issues that arise from the lack of proper sleep. In fact, the most recent edition of Consumer Reports magazine comes down pretty strongly on the side of non-medicated sleep.
The problem is that a quality alternative to Rx sleep aids can be difficult to discover; after all, popping a pill is simple but figuring out how to fall asleep quickly and easily can be surprisingly tough. Some of the alternatives listed by WebMD include sound machines, muscle relaxation techniques, and sticking to consistent sleep schedule. Of course, we would like to Speed Sleep to that list (although it could fall under muscle relaxation techniques, this guided visualization program is so much more than that), but we support anyone who is challenging the idea that the pharmaceutical companies offer the sole solution to America’s sleeping problems.
